BC Binosa 'Wabash Valley' dropping buds

Any ideas on this? I only get a new (pseudobulb?) on this about once a year (if that) and about half the time the little spike starts off fine and then just turns brown and dies. I don't move it when it starts to spike, or change anything for that matter. Is this just bad luck or should I be changing something after I see a bud?

It's so darn pretty when it blooms!

Dang - that's frustrating! Drafts? Too cold? Very low humidity?

Quit watering it so much. Orchids bloom in the natural environment during the dry season . That is when their pollinators are out. It is usually dry then so I would curtail watering and keep it from cool draghts or close to cold windows.

That's so interesting because now that you mention it, I had sort of ignored the plants for a little while with the holidays and all and thought I needed to get back on watering. I assumed it turned brown because of lack of water and never thought of the opposite. Thanks!
