Did not cut spikes!

Most of my Phals are rescues in my "orchid hospital" except for two. On the other ones I cut the spikes down after flowering to help the plants. On the two Phals that I didn't cut the spikes are now sprouting! They have little mittens and are doing something! I kept thinking I should cut those but never did. So glad I did not. This room I have them in is a little cooler than I would like but has the most sun for them. All of the nodes are full and growing something while the others are still recovering from their previous abuse.

I have a purple rescue that I saved five years ago and it reblooms for a while on a spike, then, when the spike finally finishes and turns brown, a new spike emerges. It is a good little phal. It has no ID but, who cares? I have a white rescue that will take another year, I think to recover. I picked it up a few weeks after valentines day for a $1. I usually stay away from phals as our house is so cool in the winter but those poor cheap, rootless, wilting things both tugged at my heart (and if they recover from such abuse, they must be tough!). Good luck with yours!
