A host of epiphytic orchids festoon a macrolobium tree growing in an igapo flooded forest lake, Laguna Grande, Cuyabeno, Ecuador. (No flowers, but spectacular, so just wanted to share!)

I recently visited Cuyabeno and it is absolutely the best Amazon jungle park to visit. As is often the case in the rainforest, the plants are not buoyantly blooming, but just a single tree or a single plant at the time. And yet, Cuyabeno is one of the richest tropical rainforest parks in the world while also being one of the most accessible parks.
