Propagation media for phals

Hello all, I am looking into giving seed propagation a go (I know how hard it will likely be but if you dont try you dont know do you?). So from my reading I have discoverd that I will need some specilised media. One troubel though. I cant find any (probably because I am havin one of thoes days). So can any one recomend a media that i could obtain and use for the proigation of some Phals in the UK? Thanks in advanced the one, the only Paddy

No idea what the UK has, but if you have similar stuff available to what we have here in the States. What kind of orchids will you be trying to propagate as that will alter the media's you want.

Id like to propagate some Phals and i would like a sort of "all in one" media so i don't kneed to flaf around as it will be my first attempt!

Anyone from the UK know if you can get supplies, etc from Phytotech or Sigma, or are there importers/suppliers that are better options there?

Ok, if no one from the UK can help, what people use in other countries? maybe i can ship some instead!

I use P668 from Phytotech. This doesn't have agar provided, so you have to add that as well, but they also sell agar as well (A111). Use at 1/2 strength for seed sowing, and full strength for replates (with addition of potatoe and banana).

Cheers zxyqu, how do you add the potato or banana? do you just pulverize it and boil it up? Can any one eles suggest any media?
