I'll second that, Dorothy! Those are beautiful photographs of some very beautiful orchids. :) Continued happy growing, Massimo, and we'll still be here when you get more time. Thanks for taking the time now to share these beauties with us!

Hi Puddin, i presume you looking for the Haraella retrocalla, the size is about like a Phalaenopsis equestris.
To give you an idea of the size the plant is about 4 cm. wide and 3 cm. high. the flower is about 2 cm high and 1 cm wide.

Thanks all for appreciation and understanding :blushing: :blushing:

Ciao

Your photo site is FANTASTIC!!!!

I especially like the 'Morning Joy' and the lobbii. Very professional photos.

Shirley 10-03-2007 09:55 PM

Nice to see you, Massimo and your plants and photos are gorgeous! The Phal bellina is one of my favourites (as everyone else!) and I also find the C. Green Emerald very interesting. What is the background of this cross?

moria0672 10-04-2007 02:57 AM

Hi Shirley,
this hibrid (Cattleya Elizabeth Mahon x Thospol Spot) is the result of different crosses.
The botanical species used to obtain the hybrids that have created this one are:
Cattleya intermedia
Cattleya dolosa
Cattleya granulosa
Cattleya forbesii
Cattleya loddigesii (2 times)
Cattleya aclandiae (2 times)

Ciao ciao

Shirley 10-04-2007 10:24 PM

Hi Massimo,

Thank you for that information. Quite an impressive lineage. Seems I'm always attracted to plants that have aclandiae in them somewhere! I think your's is lovely and will have to watch for one of those if available.

The dendro is a sweet one :)
I can't believe all the bloom growth you have with the Bllra in such a small container
Gorgeous!

Buds! 10-27-2007 08:40 PM

Stunning flowers and very professional photography.
I have lots to learn!
Thanks for sharing!

Sandy4453 10-27-2007 08:53 PM

Exquisite!

Did you take those photos? Great composition.

Spotted Catts. are my weakness. I can't afford any more but I managed to scrape enough $ up for another one yesterday that I couldn't resist. Yours is breathtaking.

I'm waiting for my B. nodasa to bloom and after looking at yours, my patience is getting slim-to-none!

Enjoy your beauties and happy growing!

stonedragonfarms 10-28-2007 01:05 PM

Very nice!

I especially like your C. Green Emerald; I'm guessing it is a smaller plant? Looks like it might have some C. aclandiae in it?

Your pictures are amazing!!! They seem so professional. I think you have a pretty good camera too. I also have a powershot (A520) and I think I can get some pretty good pics with it. What sort of lighting do you use to take pictures? I look forward to seeing any other beauties of yours that may bloom soon!!
I really like the Beallara. It's my favorite! So guess what happened when I saw the exact same one at the garden center today??? I bought it!!

Thanks for being an orchid 'enabler'!! (That's what OB is for, right??;) )

Thanks for taking the time to share Massimo. I've just moved the bellina alba to the top of my wish list. Beautiful camera work also!

Toddybear 11-13-2007 06:48 AM

Your Peggy Ruth seems darker than mine, which just faded. All your pictures are stunning! That cattleya is especially nice.

Hi friends
finally I've made the photo to my Brassia Edvah Loo now in full bloom.

There are two spikes on the same bud. Chance or custom? Who have an answer?
