jose marti 'mothers favorite' is blooming!!!
 

ahhh, what a display we will have this year! these are the first two to open and the second two to start opening, there are 12 buds and flowers in all....i will add a pic as they all open!

I thought it was C. Jose Marti 'Mothers Favorite' but I could be wrong. That's one of my favorite classic white cattleyas. Mine hasn't started to bloom yet but it was fabulous last year. Your's is beautiful and, apparently, it's going to get even better. Good growing.

Actually, Jose Marti and Mothers Favorite are synonym names for the same plant. This is an old hybrid in the days when it was harder to keep track of hybrids in the RHS. I think Jose Marti was the first name given to the hybrid. Mothers Favorite is not a clonal name. You can double check this at the free Royal Horticultural Society website, which is useful for all orchid growers who care about the names and registration of hybrids.

While C. Mother's Favourite(1990) is a synonym for C. Jose Marti(1959), there is also a C. Jose Marti 'Mother's Favorite' which received a CCM/AOS in 2000 and 2001.

yes you are right, its jose marti 'mother's favorite'....i got it turned around because it IS mothers favorite, lol....she just loves it....
