Platystele umbellata

I bought this from Ecuagenera. It was supposed to be Platystele ortiziana. Looks like Platystele umbellata to me. Still love it, but already had it.

I agree with you. I have the platystele ortiziana and the flowers are different (it's been blooming since May). Funny how things work: the umbellata is on my list as well for the Feb. show!

That's pretty cool, I may look for that one this spring. I really like the flowers and color.

does Ecuagenera have a store in the US? or do they have to send you by mail from Ecuador?

They ship, but they also attend a fair number of showa all over the continent. Check the section "events and shows" on their website. It may be possible to have the plants sent from a U.S. location, or you could attend one of those shows.
