OK, I give up.!
I have been unable to identify this (I presume to be a Coelogyne sp.) plant depicted in this botanical drawing.
I eventualy want to find out where (if at all) it was published, but first I need to find the species it depicts.
The nearest I got is C.graminifolia, but its not right.
Can anyone familiar with this genus identify it?
I would be most gratefull

Due to the single flower inflorence I was more thinking towards a Maxillaria. I have the feeling the drawing is not very acurate though.

I bought a back cutting of an Ovalis and it looks a little like the pictures I found of it when researching.

Oops!
I mean the flower does but the leaves and bulb are definitely wrong!

Yes indeed, it IS a Maxillaria chrysantha.(thanks RobS).
In fact its the original drawing that appears (slightly altered)in Curtis Bot.Magazine in the1920's, as M.chrysantha.!!
The book with all the Curtis plates (I forget the title)lists the artist also.In fact its the only contribution this artist has made to the magazine.!!!
