Dendrobium Noid
I am so excited! This is the first orchid that has bloomed under my care. It gives me confidence that maybe I can be successful at this.
I love the color. It might not be exotic, but I love it. http://www.orchidboard.com/community...y_Picz_003.jpg |
Great Job! You give me hope:pray:
|
Congrats to you! :cheer:
You're on your way :) It's beautiful :D |
It looks like a dendrobium phalaenopsis type .. possibly a hybrid or cross with dendrobium bigibbum
Check out the images here dendrobium - Google Image Search If it is in it's parentage .. it actually has an exotic essence as it is the Cooktown orchid of Australia and Queensland's state flower  |
 Beautiful ! good growing :) Gin

Very nice indeed, great color!!
Congrats on your success, You should get more orchids now. LOOK WHAT YOU CAN DO! |
Gorgeous color on that! I had no idea they had blue Dendrobiums!!!
|
Thanks everyone! I purchased it at WalMart.
Dorothy--I looked at the Cooktown orchid and it is shaped differently, but it's certainly an interesting thought. I actually have about 30+ orchids, all purchased since March. I have a cattleya hybrid that has sent up a spike and I'm waiting for that to open soon. |
Hee hee 30 'chids since march eh?! Looks like your doin' just fine, carry on
|
I remarked on it's parentage .. I didn't think it was a cooktown though on the google search page I posted .. there are some there that come close in petal/sepal form ... just trying to point you in some kind of direction .. :)
It is beautiful .. NOID or named  |
