Survey - temp sensing paint for live orchids
 

Hi guys,

Just out of curiosity, if there was a spray paint that can make orchids (or any other flower/plant) change color according to temperature (such as night and day), .. would you use it on your orchid?

In essence, during the day it's white, and at night it can turn pink/red and vice versa. There is even a glow in the dark one too.

No doubt the cut/potted flower industry would love it but no, I wouldn't use it on any of my orchids. I find the whole idea of dying or painting orchids to be a little bit crass. Is this a product that is already being marketed?

I would never use such a product on my plants.

I would never use it, I don't see the point, and think it would be quite ugly. I don't think I'd even buy a plant that had been sprayed with such a thing.

why would you want to paint a orchid flower any other color than the color it is?
