Had this for many years. It's now got 5 growths and last year flowered 3 times. The only thing that puzzled me was why should the flowers only have lasted 3 weeks or so when they should be long lasting. Normally the flowers could last a couple of months.

Very nice plant and flowers.
Did your temperatures change while in flower to make them drop early?

No I have it in my greenhouse and the temp doesn't vary much-- 60min rising to anywhere between 60 and 90 depending on the weather. Could it be a lack of fertilizer??
Thanks for your comment- much appreciated

It's a great-looking plant, Eddie. Did the blooms from previous years also occur during warm weather months? Although I don't have Ang. magdalenae, I do have Angraecum Lemdorde, one of its hybrids. It also flowers a couple of times per year, but the blooms that appear during the cool winter months always last significantly longer than those that are produced during the summer.

Never thought that it could have been the summer that causes the short flowering, On the other hand my Crestwoods flowered mid December and they are showing signs of decay. If I haven't posted a pic of them I'll do it now.

Hi -
I would love to know what size POT this Angraecum is in ?
How old is this plant ?
Is it grown in such bright light ?

Hi NeoNJ. All my angraecums, that is, the mag and Crestwoods are all in 18cms pots. the Ang mag is about 50 yrs old and grown in intermediate conditions whilst other Angs are grown in warm conditions. They do not receive bright lights but rather subdued light. Hope this may help in some small way. Normal fertilizer about once per month in winter and every other week in summer. I do let them dry out before each watering and they are never sprayed.

Rgds Ed. Hope this helps in some small way!

Wow! That is a very impressive plant! It must grow very slowly. A patient person you are!
