Hello from Denver, CO.
 

Hello everyone.. My name is Jaime and I've been reading the OB for a few weeks now and so far love everything I have read.

I live in Denver, CO., which is pretty dry climate for orchids, but I've come to accumulate quite a collection over time. My collection consists of a few phals, Onc., Dend., and just recently Vandas.

As scared as I was of the vanda, I'm pretty bent on growing them and not letting them dry out like toast. That being said, it's hard for me to not walk past a gorgeous orchid without wanting to bring it home.

So far I've gained a lot of useful tips on the OB and look forward to future posts. :)

Hello and welcome Jaime and while I'm at it you too Boyong although I'm a little late on yours.
Jaime don't freak out about the vandas. They are super easy to grow here and I imagine in CO. you will just have to water it more often but you will be fine. Now, show us the pics :)

Hello everyone! Thank you for the warm welcome! I will post pics today. of pretty much everything I have. Some of them I don't know the names because I picked them up at King Soopers, Safeway, or Lowes and they had only a generic tag that says "ORCHID".

Vandas are doing great so far... been soaking them about 30min a day and vasing them during the day. So far so good! :D
