Coelogyne cristata

I got this plant a week ago at the SOOS meeting. It has two spikes and is in perfect condition.

Enjoy:

C.Cristata, can be a difficult plant to grow successfully it does not take kindly to being repotted and tends to go backwards if watered with water which is high in salts . I find that mine grows well if I use rain water with a very small amount of fertilizer. It also gets a once a month dose of Super thrive during the growing season .
If your plant is showing signs of leaf tip die back ,then the salts are too high .
It is also better to just pot this plant on when it grows out of its pot . It makes a beautiful specimen plant . Mine had 300 flowers last season .
