This was a gift from my friend LindaR a few years ago. It has been healthy and steadily growing but hadn't bloomed till now. I guess she was just settling in to her new home before rewarding me with 7 spikes the first time! :wow

It's in a clear 6" pot, the purple one is just decorative for now :)

My Bc Maikai was doing the same for me...just growing and growing and growing but no blooms in almost 3 years... and this time BOOM 6 spikes with 26 flowers (not all open yet)

Don't you just love this one, Sue? I've had mine for 3 years and it took till last year to get blooms. If I remember, there were 4 spikes then. Mine is blooming now also and yesterday there were 10 spikes...this morning, 9 spikes, and one broken leaf, minus one leaf down and a lot of broken pieces of terra cotta :((.

Next year we're going to have an explosion with this one!! Enjoy your beautiful plant!
