C. Penny Kuroda

...or is it? :scratchhead:
This is one of the first chids I ever purchased. Got it from a reputable dealer and it has bloomed in the past. I ordered it as C Penny Kuroda and that is indeed what the tag says but that little voice in my head tells me it can't be :hmm All the C Penny Kuroda pics I've been able to find show the plant with spots, which makes sense when you see it's parentage (50% guttata). The other background plants are: gaskelliana, mossiae, trianae, labiata and lueddmanniana. If it weren't for the huge percentage of guttata in the plant, I wouldn't be questioning it but :dunno: The bloom is about 5 inches in size, fragrant and the stunning lip is covered in fuzzy sparkly stuff :coverlaugh: :think2: |
OK Susie Q... beautiful flower but where's the pool!!!!!! What... afraid if the plant dangles over the pool the flower will dive in for a dip????? Well....????

LOL
Nah, this one is in an 8" pot and my hands are hurting today...didn't trust myself ;) |
Gorgeous bloom. I only hope my Catts will bloom so nice (though mine are mostly yellows and oranges). :)
I bow to the Catt bloomers. :bowing So far, I haven't rebloomed any of mine. Methinks me needs more light.... Another trip to the store for T5s might be in my future this weekend....shh don't tell hubby. |
