Mushrooms?
 

Hey Everyone --
Quick question - So I got this phal a few weeks ago. I now notice through the clear pot that I have some smaller mushroom with rhizomes growing. I doused it once with physan 20. Any other suggestions of how to treat? Or what else to do? I let the media dry out completely before watering. Is this from the bark breaking down within the pot? Thanks for your help!

Its probaly actually within the bark, thats what mushrooms feed off usually. I'd say its a good thing, and leave it be, unless they just look ugly. Im not for sure what you could do to get rid of them.

Doesn't fungus usually grow on dead and decaying matter? Personally, I would take this as a sign to re-pot into fresh medium. That's just my :twocents:
