splitting hybrid and species forums

:((I don't really like complaining, but I find the split in forums between hybrids and species problematic. I don't think it's a gain for anyone.

The site used to list the new posts, so when you came to the site you could see at a glance any new posts. Now it requires an additional click just to find out whether there is anything new, then still another, third click to see if there is anything new on the other half of the forum.

There doesn't even seem to be one new post a day on either "forum" for several days since this change was made, and I would bet the extra clicks required to get any information about what's posted has been enough to reduce the number of clicks the forums are getting.

What about the people who are interested in both species and hybrids?

IMO, this change has made the site less user-friendly, where it used to be one of the most user-friendly orchid forums.

There is no way to make everyone happy :(

There were many...many...requests for the separate forums made. Having the information on species separate makes it a bit easier for a great many folks, rather than having to dig around for species-specific posts.

It just means one extra forum to click on for those members who would like to see all the info available. ;)

It, unfortunately, can't be perfect for all :dunno:
