Phal. Yellowstone 'Floricultura'
1 Attachment(s)
I purchased this one last summer from Oak Hill. It's a first bloom seedling. I was unable to find anything on the name they have on the tag, so I emailed Greg and asked about it. Turns out it's from a batch they purchased from a Dutch grower and they're really NOIDs. :hmm Ah well, it's pretty anyway.

That's a wonderful yellow Phal, Terri! I really like how it fades to white at the very center.

I looks like you have a lot blooming! Lucky you!.. I am still waiting! ...:)
|
Well noid or not it's still a beauty! I love the delicate little spots on it. So pretty! :)
If I am understanding this correctly, the name was basically just made up or something? :scratchhead: |
That's exactly right Sarah. It's an unregistered hybrid and they don't even know the parentage. Thought I should post that just in case someone thinks they're buying a named hybrid. It wasn't terribly expensive, and I like it so I'm OK with it being a NOID.

That's not right at all IMHO. If it's an unregistered hybrid it should be labeled as such. It's a beautiful phal. and it was a good price but maybe you didn't want a noid. A little misleading......

I agree, but as I said it's a nice plant and I probably would have bought it anyway. Just thought folks should be warned as it's still on their website.
