Spotted Salamanders

These are new aquisitions for me. Have had them for only a few months, and they have gotten fatter since these pics were taken.
No names yet, but would love some help!

Those are really great. Remind me of one I found when I was a kid. It was pink with spots. I let it go. Didn't know anything about it and didn't know anybody that did! It was an Ambys . . . . . can't remember the rest of it. A California Spotted Salamander.
What are you feeding them?
they will like a log to hide under as they prob. feed at dusk in dim light.
Thanks for the memories!!!

I give them lots of sphagnum moss to hide under. I didn't know about the logs. I feed the fruit flies and small crickets. They seem to be feeding at night cause I don't see them during the day, and they still get fat.[/FONT]

Hehe. I never liked that show. But I might do it anyways just cause there is three of them. Thanks!

Awww they're cute lil devils.

Tindo, the spots on the last one look more greenish than yellow. I assume that's just because of the angle of the shot?

Tindomul 02-20-2007 11:01 AM

I dont remember if it was greenish or yellowish. I don't mess with them too much, and look at them about once every two weeks to check if everyone is still alive. ANd they are. And that green wierd spotted one now normal spots like its buddies. So maybe they are different at immaturity??
