Dendrochilum uncatum

Really tiny Dendrochilum. I just love these things. The chains of flowers are fascinatingly detailed when you get right up close. This one is in a 4" net pot in sphagnum moss. It has two inflorescences with six new growths starting, meaning six more blooming shoots, but I couldn't wait that long to take the pic.
Flowers start off green, then mature to a bright yellow. Kind of a strange tangy smell, very pungent. Not bad, just... different. Here's a good Dendrdochilum for you, Yvan. See? They're not all huge. Thanks for looking! |
What a lovely little plant!

it sure is a cute one.

I love these, have been thinking about getting one. In fact, I'm going to get one, now! Yours is fantastic. How are you growing this? I see it's in straight moss? Winter rest? Light?, etc.....

Cool! Nice close-ups! To my extremely untrained eye, it makes them look kinda like micro cymbidiums.
