Really tiny Dendrochilum. I just love these things. The chains of flowers are fascinatingly detailed when you get right up close. This one is in a 4" net pot in sphagnum moss. It has two inflorescences with six new growths starting, meaning six more blooming shoots, but I couldn't wait that long to take the pic.

Flowers start off green, then mature to a bright yellow. Kind of a strange tangy smell, very pungent. Not bad, just... different. Here's a good Dendrdochilum for you, Yvan. See? They're not all huge.

Thanks for looking!

I love these, have been thinking about getting one. In fact, I'm going to get one, now! Yours is fantastic. How are you growing this? I see it's in straight moss? Winter rest? Light?, etc.....

Easy as pie. Growing in a plastic net pot in straight sphagnum. They're not all that crazy about having their roots disturbed. They do like A LOT of water; I let the moss just start to get "crispy" on top before I drench it. Fairly heavy feeders as well. Mine are on the Paph/Phal shelf, raised up another six inches closer to the lights. No winter rest, and they seem to do just fine without it. :goodluck:

Hey hey, Stephen! Awesome little guy there! That is just my size. The brown in the lip is really nice! Well, he's going down on the list.

Thanks Stephen. I'm saving this thread for future culture tips. I'm definitely getting one. Now, all I have to do is find, where....

Thanks again!

Cool! Nice close-ups! To my extremely untrained eye, it makes them look kinda like micro cymbidiums.
