Zygopetalum 'Conway's Choice'
The big smelly one has opened and right now it smells like spring hyacinths in my kitchen. Rather stange during the winter holiday season, but I don't mind.
This one ususally flowers about 3 times a year, and would probably flower more often if it got more water. They are fast growers, we have had this one for about 4 or 5 years and it has been divided in half once. I also have a backbulb which has been flowering for the last 2 years. Hope you like it, thanks for looking. Spectacular!

WOW!!! That is amazing! I want one! What sort of growing conditions do these like? Can I put one in my kitchen that doesn't get much light?
|
Thanks. The kitchen is pretty cool in the winter and hot in the summer with a south easterly orientation and lots of windows. Mine doesn't sit under the gro-lites and it does just fine. :D

Barbara, that's beautiful! I love the Zygos, but have the dickens keeping them alive. I have a NOID that actually bloomed for me this winter, I hope I can keep him alive through this summer.

I love it! I wish I had the space for one more orchid,as that would be a great addition!
|
Very nice, it looks very happy.
|
I've got to get one of these! Flowering more than once a year makes it a winner for me!
|
That's beautiful Barbara! Well done!
