it is one of my three Tolumnia Hybrids...

here the two others, which I had already posted in other threads, but thought would be nice to have them all in one single thread:

My Jairak Rainbow seems more purple than yours (but I guess that's the way with hybrids not always blooming true.) http://www.orchidboard.com/community...Rainbow_03.jpg Maybe mine is a different cultivar?

The colors on Jairak Rainbow are amazing! Every time people post pics of their Tolumnias I fall more and more in love with them, but just can't find a nursery that sells them around here.

hehe, yours looks more like my NOID plant :)

Ross, I had received my plants with codes as IDs: MP-4, MS-65 and do not remember the other... I sent the codes again with pictures attached to the nursery and they send them back with these IDs (they could however not identify one plant, and stays as MS-65).

If you google for pictures of Jatrak Rainbow, you can see this hybrids is very variable... almost too much (for my taste) Tolumnia Jairak Rainbow - Google Image Search

I guess that was my point, Ramon. As Sue once stated so eloquently: (and I am paraphrasing) "You really want to see the plant in bloom to determine the final color." I have all hybrid Tolumnias and as such, they tend to vary a lot in colorings from either pictures on the web or pictures of other people's hybrids. That seems to be true for other more complex hybrids of Paphs, etc. It sometimes makes me wonder if I have the correct ID on some plants :scratchhead: I've had a few instances where 2 different spikes on the same Tolumnia produced different coloring (not strongly different, but different shades). Don't worry, yours is still pretty and I am an Ambassodor for Tolumnias. Everyone needs at least one. I need several more

Ross, you convinced me. I just sent an e-mail to Natt's Orchids and ordered that same one to be picked up at the GVOS show. It will be my first try on these babies.

Hope to see you at the show. When do you expect to be there? I'm planing on Saturday morning.
