Larger Terrestrials

More from my collection of terrestrials. Only spikes (for now), and they spikes take a long time to bloom (they’ll start sometime in late January), but are worth it to me. I think the blooms are fascinating. I’ll post pictures when they finally bloom.

From left to right:
• Cyclopogon lindleyanum
• Sarcoglottis scepterodes
• Stenorrynchus speciosum
• Stenosarcos Vanguard

Hi;
Glad to see someone appreciate terrestrial orchids.
I grow a few now:Stenorrynchus, Stenoglottis,Spiranthes,etc.,but I grew a lot more in the past:Goodyeras,Stenorhynchus,Cyclopogon,Australian terrestrials(including Cryptostylis and other tropicals),Zeuxine etc.
Unfortunately I dont have the space anymore ,so now I grow Pleurothallids and other cloud forest denizens ,which I also love.
Great job;the plants look great.
take care

Spiro,

Glad you like them too. Sounds like your collection had mine beat for variety. Pleurithallids have a lot of variety and some "unusual" forms, so I'm sure you're enjoying them too.

I do wish I had more space to give them. I think they are "underrated" by a lot of orchid hobbyists, but I find them fascinating.

NOTE to Ross: They're NOT "floofy" !

I am amazed! Another group of beauties that i didn't even know existed! I must spend more time researching orchid types. These are just spectacular for their foliage alone. I can't wait to see the blooms on them. I am going to start looking for some of these...maybe Santa will bring me some!
