What type of orchid this is?

Hi,

May I know what type of orchid this is? Does it belong to the cattleya genus? It is sympodial growth.

Certainly could be a member of the cattleya alliance but would like to see more of the plant with the flower....

I think it is a bifoliate Cattleya hybrid. The Brazilian species somewhere in the background are very heat tolerant and thus well suited to growing in the Republic.
