sequential bloomer?

Just noticed that M. Dawn Glow has statred to produce another bud on an old spike. I didnt know these were sequential bloomers! This plant has neve done this before, but then again, it has not enjoyed ideal growing conditions untill I put it into the Orchidarium. Gosh I love that thing! LOL

ok I can now affirm that dawn glow is a sequential bloomer. She has now rebloomed on all the old spikes and is still sending up new ones.

That's nice! Do you have a picture of it? I have Masdie bicolor which also does that. Each spike has one bloom, and after the first bloom fades, a new one develops on the same spike. Good thing the guy I got it from told me that, or else I would have cut all the spikes!

I'm up to bloom #5 on my Masd. amplexa - it is a little workhorse!

M. Dawn Glow owes its blooming habit to M. melanoxantha which is also a successive bloomer. Very nice!!
