Neofinetia Hybrid
2 Attachment(s)
The name of this plant is Renanetia Sunrise AM/AOS (Neofinetia falcata x Renanthera imschootiana) It blooms throughout the year. This is the third blooming this year and although they don't show in the picture, it has one other bloomed spike and another in bud. The flowers start out bright red and change to red/orange and they last for more than a month.

I love the red/orange ones, so I find this one absolutely stunning! :cloud9: I've been meaning to try out some of these Neo hybrids. How do you grow this one?
|
This is gorgeous! I saw Neos combined with other species, never Renanthera. Where did you get it?
|
Camille, it grows in my greenhouse, in bright light (5000fc) until about 2:00, in a six inch net pot with no media. Watering is done weekly and I mist with rainwater daily. I fertilize with one tsp. MSU fertilizer every two weeks.
OnicheK, I purchased the plant about two years ago from Tropic I Orchids in Kissimmee, Fl. near Disney. They have since been bought by Vitters Orchids. Check this out. Vanda Hybrids (VAN-dah): Camp Lot A Noise Tropicals |
