The B. Little Stars parent really gave this a cool green tone (I probably didn't capture in the photo). The Sc. Mem Robert Strait is so complex I gave up looking at all that parentage after a while. It has C. walkeria in there as well as Sc.Fedora, Blanchette, Tirlemont, Laguna, and C. Hardyana. :whew Enjoy!

Royal - I know what you mean about the complexity of some orchid hybrids .. some can go back many generations (I felt your pain about looking up Mem Robert Strait parentage .. I have been there myself looking up other hybrids ;) )
This hybrid is a beauty!
Congrats on it's blooming

It has been registered as Rolfeara Hawaii Stars.
The cross has lovely colors and also a good figure of the plant, which makes it a plant worth growing.

You beat me to the punch Royal! I was gonna take pics of mine tomorrow when more buds should be open. Your pics are awesome.:)

I was very curious about how this cross would look like! Thanks for showing, Royal!

Can't wait to see them, George. This spike had two other buds that were CHEWED OFF by something. It must have been hungry because it ate the other spike - the whole thing! :((

Thanks for the comments everyone. Pheli, where did you find this registered? I looked on the RHS registry but didn't find it.:scratchhead:

Is that a hint of lavender suffusion at the tip of the dorsal Royal? Great picture!

Good eye! It's spotting that developed on the outside of the sepal, it's a dark clear spot when looked at from behind. I was thinking it was due to the high light it got while the buds developed. So, is that suffusion?

Gin, No, I might use it though!;)
