Coel. lawrenceana
I have had a Coel. lawrenceana for several years, and it is now about 3 times bigger than when it arrived. BUT I can't get any flowers :( I grow it in sphagnum, with plenty of light (facing south - no direct sun), medium temperature, down to 14 C at winter nights.
Do any of you have a photo of a lawrenceana in bud? I also have a Burfordensis with the same problem. It grows happily, but no flowers...... I would also appreciate to see a photo of this one in bud - and in flower ;) Thanks :) Milda :) |
I found this - perhaps this can help you - :)

Thank you Dorothy :D
I have heard that the buds take a long time to develop. When do you see there is something going on?? Still interested in more photos :) |
Milda the buds do take a long time to bloom. Mine got the spikes in the middle of winter and just sat there for months. I was about to give up on them ever blooming but they started about six weeks ago and will continue blooming for a long time.
The first buds will open, bloom for a couple of weeks and then drop. Eventually the next bud will open. The plant will end up blooming for a long time. My new growths from this year already are showing spikes but I'm not sure when those will bloom. This was my first blooming of this species. Sorry I don't have any pics of it. Brooke |
