Gwen, that is stunning! You really are the queen :king: when it comes to orchid (and especially Neos) and their pots! You do indeed set a very high standard!!

What a great way to start off our new section of the forum!

One question, though, I didn't think Shutenno was tiger striped??

Gwen, they are so delicate looking and I love the way they are potted. I would love to try my hand at potting one of those :scratchhead: but not sure how its done.

They are beautiful.....

Shannan. I am so laughing. . .it's not a tiger striped! I was multi-tasking and missed a beat. Thank God, I've got friends looking out for me!

Is the standard leaf form just called fuukurin?

Thanks so much everyone for your kind words! What do you think about the general format for entering Neo varieties?

We want to be able to find, look and learn about all the different varieties from the info in the body of the post and be able to do fun searches based on the info in the title.

How do you want to pot yours?

These do well, potted regular style (I just add a moss topping), or mounted on cork and then of course there is the Japanese style, moss mound!

You've got lots of awesome choices! :waving

Gwen, I believe that Fukurin is used to describe the striped leaves. Maybe it is standard Furan leaves, the plain green?

Here is my photo of a Shutenno bloom:
