The bloom is bright white.

This color was due to the light from the afternoon-sun, and made sutch a beautyfull coloring, that i had to show together with the actuall colors of the bloom *s*

Lene, I'm so glad your phals are doing so well! That white one is a wonder.
Also very glad to hear about the rescue of the phal for the woman you work for! We all worked on that one!!
Wonder what color it is????

Yes, Al, that one is indeed a team-work-project! And im really curious about what kind of bloom, small or big, and what color it will show of!

The second phal with beginning spike, is one i got from my mother-in-law, and i dont know the color og size to this one either
Im looking foreward to an exiting time! :D

Please be sure to keep us posted.
Is there any color to the undersides of the leaves on either plant?

The old womans phal has a fainth reddish color underneth the leafs, but this may be due to increased light too. But the newest leaf has the strongest reddish color.
And the one i got from mother-in-law is just green, but does have a uncommon leaf-structure. Its leafs are thin, but firm and with lines running down the leaf, almost like it was dryed out. And the color is quite light green, not olive-green like my other phals.
Heres a pic.
The spike has grown to a fingers lenght by now.

I don't know how much truth there is to it but from my own experience a plant that has pink/reddish coloring on the underside of the leaf has pink/purple colored blossoms. Or at least a blossom with some pink/purple on/in it.

Your mother-in-law's plant looks great! Leaf shape/texture depends a lot on the breeding. IMHO

I will be interesting to see what they look like!
Al
