Phrag. Sedenii
A faithful bloomer. But, this year it's doing something new: in the first pic, if you look at the bract right below the one with the bloom, you can see that the spike is branching!

I repotted it into this maybe three months ago. http://dylansuzanne.info/gallery/alb...l_DCP_2414.JPG |
Nice plant Sue!
Interesting note you made about using tire mulch - tire crumb as it is called around here is often used for playgrounds intead of sand. It is softer for the kids to fall on and stays in the playground better. Are you using it for any other orchids? |
Interesting growing medium. Thanks for sharing. Plus great looking Phrag! How rare is it for a slipper to branch?

Very nice, and the roots look great.

Am I doing something wrong that I cannot see the original picture? Is there a setup step I missed? I have the "show pictures" checkbox checked.

Where did you ever get the idea to use tire crumbs as a medium? Looks great nonetheless.

Very nice and good job on the branching. The pouch colour is fantastic! That's a great idea to experiment with the new medium. Keep updates on how it's going...please.
