Paph seedling left to dry out

Hi:waving
I let my paph. peppermint, medium sized seedling dry out completely by mistake :_( do you think it will be okay?

paphs don't like to ever dry out completely and since it's a seedling chances are that it will probably not make it. good luck!

Dont over water it to make up. Get the mix damp and keep it that way. When it is damp completely, mix up 2 or 3 teaspoons of white sugar in slightly warm only, water and use that to water from there. If the roots have any life in them, this sugar water solution will help big time. If there is nothing in the roots, try some sphagnum moss as the mix.

The paph wasn't left dry for a long time, it was still moist yesterday afternoon, but this morning it was dry. I have it potted in spah moss.

I wouldn't even consider worrying about it for that period of time. If its in ONLY sphagnum most as a normal potting mix, the moss should, if it was in good condition to start with, recover its moisture retension ok. My Paphs are in a bark mix and have no problems being dry for a day or 2, any longer is a problem though.

Paphs can certainly take some drying out between waterings. Some bloom this way. Seedlings are more sensitive in this area but a day or 2 should be just fine.

Just go back to it's normal watering routine, don't overwater cause you missed a day or 2 - you can't make up for lost moisture in this regard.

:D

Don't worry :) I won't overwater. I normally don't care when my paphs get dry for a bit, but this is my first paph seedling... but at least I know its okay :)
