Blc. Magic Meadow 'Napoleon'
My clumsy hands and I... I was taking this to our Orchid Society on Tuesday and let it fall from my hands... don't need to say that it fell upside down and the flowers broke off. Here's how I felt, exactly in this sequence  :(( :( ;) ...
Anyway, this is Blc. Mem. Helen Brown crossed back with Rhyncholaelia (former Brassavola) digbyana. Taking into account only the lip shape it is hard to believe that this plant is more than 52% Rhyncho digbyana, so intense is the effect on the shape of the lip caused by Cattleya granulosa and Cattleya bicolor, two species that also are in the background of this hybrid, but contributing together with only 15% of the genetic information. |
Mauro, that is so lovely!
Sorry to hear of the "incident' :yikes: |

I've got to 'hand' it to you Mauro, your rescue was indeed a great 'feet'. A very lovely orchid too.

The bright clear yellow I am sure can be seen across the room. A beautiful yellow if I ever saw one. Like the touch of "lipstick" on the lip.
