Thank you !
I'm looking forward to them :~) |
I thought I would update this thread with something amazing !
ROBB kindly offered these orchids for the cost of shipping, and I, really just starting out with them, jumped at the chance, of course  So, we arranged it all, and she mailed them Priority Mail. I mean, Alabama to north Florida - Day or 2, right? Well, it seems that USPS sat on them for a week, then lost them for a second week, and they finally arrived yesterday! We were both very doubtful that anything good would happen, but lo-and-behold, they were all alive and looking pretty good, after 2+ weeks traveling around the country in a box in the dark. A great example of the resiliency of these plants, I think. And, a testament to her careful packing job - A happy ending, all around ! https://res.cloudinary.com/liveoakst...ive_sl9how.jpg |
A few orchids made it from Asia to Europe in the holds of wooden ships.
