my mini catts may not fit. The wood has to come out just holding moss for now. Back glass replacement on the way, FedEx mistreated the package.

Fortunately, the mini-catts really don't need a controlled environment. They're bred for windowsill growing, so very forgiving of less-than-ideal conditions. In fact, they will be happier out in the open air.. not only don't they need that high humidity, they don't want it. Of course, if your goal was to confine your orchid collection to a limited area instead of taking over your whole house, you lost THAT battle as soon as you started buying orchids.

I wouldn't put Catts into a cool to intermediate, very humid environment.

A true work in progress :)

It has to come all back apart. Fix the back glass. Give me an idea of what reality looks like instead of the Mister Rogers neighborhood in my head where Bob Ross lives next door.

Humidity will come down. I had bypassed the timer and let it run wild there for a bit. It did!! Even got a sad face on the orchid love meter :(

do a little research and see what I really can put in this and what I really should leave out.

I will see how I can build a bigger better one :)

Actually, unless you get into the true high-elevation cloud forest orchids (which also want cooler temperatures), that humidity is too high for most of your plants. If you want a "compromise" range that will make more genera happy, the sweet spot for RH is probably more like 60-80% (days around 60%, nights up to 80%) Maybe you need 2 or 3 environments... But the Catts, definitely outside the tent. Save the precious controlled space for things that need and want it.

I get to do some more shopping now!!. Get the plants out until I can get the humidity where It needs to before I drowned em. Should have done that before any plants in but I wanted to see it work.

Micro sized orchids I should have been looking for instead of MINI catts. I have plenty room outside or in a bright window.

Got to break it down and set it back up, put some moss over the tray and catch me some lizards :)

There's a law firm here in town called Tiger Law that advertises on billboards for accident victims. Their ad copy says "tigers eat geckos."
