Yellow leaves in Banfieldara Gilded Tower Mystic Maze
 

Hello,

I have had a Banfieldara Gilded Tower Mystic Maze for few months now. It has bloomed, now the blooms are gone and some leaves have become yellow. However there are also some new growths.
Here in Italy it’s really warm at the moment and all my orchids are suffering. What should I do with this one?

In my experience, the leaves that surround the pseudobulbs are easily sacrificed by mature growths, so is of no concern. It might be accelerated by the heat. Eventually, those at the top end of the p-bulbs will go, as well, leaving the storage vessel only.

I agree with Ray. That plant looks fine to me having two healthy new growths. Older leaves do die back occasionally. When that happens I usually just snip them off to tidy up the plant. I don't think you should have any concern.
