Wrongly identified Dendrobium?
 

Hello!

I've just received an orchid and I was wondering whether it's been correctly identified. What do you think by the look of it? It was supposed to be a Dendrobium, but it's growing habit is unknown to me in this species. It is making new pseudobulbos on top of the old ones; looks more like a Maxillaria, Epidendrum...

There are some Dendrobiums with that type of growths (excessive keikis). What species is this supposed to be?

It is supposed to be a hybrid of pierardii x loddigesii, but none of these seem to have this growth habit.

I have Dendrobiums with growth habit that looks like that (thinking Den. falcorostrum or some of its relatives but I would not begin to narrow it that much without flowers) But it does look like a Dendrobium...It is such a huge genus.

I agree that it does not look like (pierardii x loddigesii), but it probably is a Dendrobium.

Could be a Dendrobium of some kind... or maybe a Scaphyglottis....
