Very nice. I like the white fringe on the lip.

This one - superb semialba - looks a lot alike a semialba noid I have with four buds right now. How big is the flower?

Grautier, the flowers on your plant really look like my plant C. Melody Fair Mishima, i posted.
The flower of my plant is about 18cm. large, but it is a single flower. Multiple flowers might be a little bit smaller. It is always tricky to name a NOID plant, especially when there are so many lookalikes, but whatever it is, Yours look fantastic!

Thanks! Yours looks very perfect, with the sepals boldly streched. This year there will be four flowers on one spike from my plant. And this will make for not as big flowers I guess.

And agreed, semialbas simply look majestic, gorgeous. The flowers on mine are a bit smaller than yours, highly perfumed and they last over 4 weeks.
Alas, it will remain a noid; there are far too many hybrids out there that could be it. But Melody Fair is a reasonable approximation.

Sorry for the artificial light/colours.

Oh wow, 4 of these flowers will be a fantastic display!
And true, semi albas have something gorgeous. They are my favourite, and i have many different semi alba cattleyas. Make sure to make some photos when the flowers are open of your plant. That will look so fantastic!

The flower i posted is just 2 days open. I expect it to change a bit even more within a few days. These flowers need a week or so for full development.

Yes, that is true. With a timelapse one could even see it, 'flapping' forth and back like a newly hatched butterfly, until each flower has its final shape. Temperature, light and humidity, have their share, too.

Nice sunday to all.
