Leptotes Bicolor - yellowing leaves
Hi, Newbie here, so let me start with.. Hi, I'm Sue and I'm addicted to Orchids....
With that out of the way, I need some help. I have a Leptotes Bicolor that I have had for about 4 years. I repotted it a couple of months ago as it seemed strangled in the tiny pot it was in. It looked great and even sprouted several flower spikes, but in the last week or so, several of the leaves have turned yellow and one has fallen off. The buds still appear to be progressing, but I am concerned that it may have an issue. Any insight? Thanks! |
First, Welcome!
It's not unusual to lose a few leaves on a Leptotes. It may, indeed, be responding to the stress of repotting. Can you post a photo? While supposedly one has to make 5 posts to upload photos, I am not at all sure that is true, I recall seeing photos from new members on the first or second post. From the Quick Reply dialog box, click on Go Advanced just below it. Then scroll down to Manage Attachments. You'll get a pop-up window... browse to the photo and select it (repeat if you have more than one). Click Upload when you're done selecting and close the pop-up. Then photos will be there when you submit the post. |

That looks like normal "attrition", stress might have accelerated the process a bit but unless the rate of loss increases significantly I don't think that it is anything to worry about

Great! Thank you so much!
