Hello from Louisiana
Hi I’m Nathaniel and I’m still kind of a novice to growing orchids. I started in 2014 when this kind lady bought me an oncidium twinkle at a garden festival in my town and now I own four orchids. I have one oncidium, 2 cattleyas and 1 dendrobium. I’m very new to growing the cattleyas and dendrobiums. I’ll post another forum about those problems but happy growing and enjoy your day.

Welcome to the Orchid Board!
Ask away. People are willing to help. For lagniappe, we have members from Louisiana who will be able to provide local advice. |
Thank you so much. It’s good to know that there’s people from my state. I’m glad to have found this website. I always look at it to see if anyone else has the same situation when I run into a problem and now I decided to make an account. I’ll be sure to.

Welcome to the Orchid Board.
You live in an area, where you just have to worry about getting the plants through the 'winter' (I commuted to LA from NJ for 10 years). If you can hang them under a live oak for the spring/summer/fall season, your plants will do just fine. |
:welcomeflowers:
Yay! More people from Louisiana! What part of the state are you in? |
I’m currently in Lake Charles but at the moment I’m in Texas

I live in Lake Charles and am always open to meeting other orchid enthusiasts. Hope you didn't sustain too much damage.

:welcomeflowers: Pokefan Nat!
Does this "pokefan" perhaps have to do with pokeweed eating? If so, please come harvest the extreme amount that grows our woods next spring! |
