Vanda Pachara Delight 'Pachara'
 

Along with a Zygopetalum, I ordered from a highly rated grower in Fla, a
Vanda Pachara Delight 'Pachara' FCC/JOGA Orchid
The photo is lovely and I can wait for it to bloom.
Meanwhile, I am trying to learn about Vanda growing.

Any help greatly appreciated if you have grown a Pachara
or any hints of how to care for it. It arrives later this week.

Love Pachara. One of my wife's first acquisitions.
I've had it for years and it flowers multiple times/yr but has never keiki'd for me. Doing an experiment to try and encourage doing so by isolating to full shade and feeding high growth formula. This has been going on since early Nov with no new developments. Maybe time to put it back in the shadehouse.

I am so new to Vandas. I got two as seedlings in Feb.
They were very tiny and now are about three inches in leaves. Seem to be growing slow, but I have a question...Again, I think I read they like lots of water and to dry out each day before adding more water.
Do I
have that right and if so, how do I do that in
SEMI HYDRO LECA? they are green and seem to be healthy.
