Cork board

I was recently given a large cork board, and am wondering if it's suitable for mounting orchids. I've used cork slabs many times, but wonder if the board will stay intact long term - i.e., will the adhesive that holds the bits together stand up to frequently being wet. Has anyone used this before?

I use compressed cork board quite a bit for mounts, mainly for small/miniature orchids grown indoors. They hold up well to constant wetness, and seem to have good longevity. Very easy cutting to size (and/or various shapes), along with making holes for mounting wire.

I don't know how it would work out with mounting larger sized orchids, or how well it would hold up outdoors long term (or with rough handling). I have a tendency to use cork bark, or wood, in those situations.
