Phalaenopsis fasciata leaves with weird patterns
1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,
I was just misting my plants today and I noticed these weird patterns on the leaves of my P. fasciata which seems to be making the leaves transparent/drying up. This is my first time encountering such an issue. The plant was placed by the window sill with a north facing receiving direct muted sunlight and constant wind movement. Humidity will be high due to neighbouring plants and humidity trays (plus I am living in a tropical country). Can anyone provide some guidance? Thanks in advance! |
That is odd, but the first thing that comes to mind is that the roots are bad and the plant is desiccating.

Or being bit by some type of insect?

i thought it was some type of fungal attack, sure ive seen plants before with similar leaf patterns. i could be wrong though.

My thought was also virus...

The tendency toward ring-shaped patterns really suggests virus for me.
