Hi from Portugal
:hello
I registered in this forum a long time ago, but I really didn´t grew anything too interesting so I didn´t participated right away. Couple of weeks ago things changed as the Portuguese orchid association organized the first international expo in my country:biggrin: I got the orchids I´ve been dreaming since the beggining, more than 5 years ago. So now I´ve taken a step perhaps bigger than I should but I hope you can help me with my new plants. I also grow other plants such as carnivorous ones, trees, ferns, mosses, couple of cycads, fruit plants... basicly I like all Plantae. |
:welcome: What types did you buy, please post :photo: when you can, 'cos we're big on enjoying other people's chids

Welcome & Hello !
Sit back and relax...you've come to the right place...read postings by other members and learn from their wealth of knowledge learned from their years of experience on growing orchids. |
Hello Luis, what plants did you finally get?

It's great that you now have an international expo but you know what that means right ????.... Better start looking for a second or third job ;) |

Thak you all:)
Mali, you are sooo right:rofl: Good thing I´m still a student and there are only two expo´s a year. The plants I wanted long ago were the Angraecum sesquipedale, Phragmipedium besseae and a Dracula. I bought Dracula ophioceps because it is suposed to be moderatly easy to grow. Maybe one day I´ll go for the chimaera:blushing: My recent obcession are Masdevallias so I got the M. prodigiosa, regia and rima rima alba (OMG I still have not finished the "highland" setup and the last one is already spiking) I also bought Phrag. hirtzii and Epidendrum embreei. I really need help with some of these plants so I´ll sure post some pics. |
Welcome to Orchid Board :welcome:

Are you kiding me Tetouan!? Some years ago I was about to quit this hobby when I found Ophrys speculum in one of my family´s terrains. That gave me a lot of motivation as I have never even seen such a plant in photos. So, as you can see terrestrial orchids mean a lot to me:) |
