Hi Claudia :D
That is such a beauty!!! I'm having trouble imagining what lemon and rose would smell like together...but I'm sure it's wonderful :D |
The flower looks huge! Lovely!

Thanks everyone! :D

Thanks, Oscarman, it's pleasant for me, to share my photos with you ;) There are more coming :D |
Beautiful! I've always had a soft spot for Ports of Paradise but never gotten around to buying one. Great flower!
|
Wow, love your Ports of Paradise wtg   I have an emerald isle, full 3" ceramic pot, not sure whether to repot or leave it another season...any suggestions on care
|
Like for the Cattleya, the time of repot arrives when the pseudobulbs arrive to the hem of the pot, and the new roots begin to develop. Also for care, all like Cattleya ;)

Seems mine have made it to the hem of the pot and than some, looked at it this a.m. when watering and a few leaves are dying, so it's time. What are the thoughts on mounting this little guy:hmm ? Have a great looking grape root  that would make it a great home, but catt alliances is a new culture to me. Thanks for your help greatly appreciated
Here is what is looked like 1 month ago...think it's time! |
What a lovely, little child!!
Yes, i also think that time is coming... but roots have started to grow? Better time for Cattleya's repot is just when new roots appear, so they will grow directly in new substrate... About mounting cattleya... I prefer grow them in pot, cause of their dimensions, but yours seems to be like a miniature, so i think you could try ;) |
It's a beauty! It will be a long time before mine blooms. Waiting for my ship to come in.

Love all the curves. I also think green orchids of any type look beautiful. Beginning to like this color more and more....
|
Thanks, one more time.
Happy to know that new green orchid lovers are coming... |
Cheryl, looks like you have a compot of Emerald Isle  and they look ready to be potted into individual pots (some of which should be in my grow area!!) ;)
|
Hummmmm sounds like my day off will be spending time with the Port of Paradise...:cheer:
