I've never seen one before so I had no idea what to expect.
|
I hope no-one minds but I've added 'Cool/Intermediate/Warm' to the title the project threads, for people like me who are following the projects which they are not part of, but can't remember which plant is which :blushing:.

Here's my new arrival. It's got really krinkled bulbs and 3 new growths.
|
Beverly's also seems to have got quite crinkled bulbs.
Are there only the two of you got this one so far? |
Can anyone tell me where to look for buds or spikes on these?

Just checked my plant and the new pseudoblub appears to have what I hope is a spike. It could be new growth, either way it a good thing. Again it's outside under my Oak tree and getting watered twice a week. I wonder if this one needs a winters rest??? So what's up with yours?
|
Way cool, Dave! :wtg:
I'll have to take a closer look at mine tomorrow :crossfing Keep us updated  |
I have mine in a southern window. I'm giving it a bit of a winter rest.
|
Hey Dave! Thanks for reminding me to check on this plant! I have 2 of those things that you have. I think those may be spikes. Sadly I also see one that dried out and it is very dead. Probably got too hot in the window for that one. I have it inside, in the bathroom window. It is in the corner between a south and a west glass block wall. Lots of light and a bit too much intensity up until the last couple weeks. About 75 degrees all the time (except when it was getting full sun through the glass). I moved it up closer to the ceiling to cut out some of that. I need to water it more often, too. If I give it a rest, I will do it in Dec. Still summery here.

Hi Everyone, :waving
After seeing isdaojon's gorgeous Coelogyne cristata yesterday, I decided we need to bump this thread up. Has any one had any luck getting theirs to bloom? I just checked on mine, thinking that it would be close to death after a severe winter rest. I started picking at what looked to be a brownish dying psuedo bulb and found a bud.Oops! I really hope I didn't hurt it. :blushing: I'm hoping to post some pictures soon. Beverly |

Awesome Beverly, I missed this post and where have I been. I have what I think is 5 new growths but looking at yours I'm not sure. Here's a picture of mine. What do you think?
|
Well it has been a year since we did this project! How is everyone's plant doing? Mine has a few new growths but didn't flower. Too hard to grow this one in south Florida.
|
I just found this thread again. I'm sorry I havent been on OB much the past few months. Here is a picture I took after most blooms were open on 3 spikes. I kept it dryer, cool and lots of light from autum until the buds started opening.
