Yes, this is a NEW blooming time, right now. She's in bloom right now, as you see the pics!

She's quite a ways from Homestead though, so be ready to drive!

Sorry, Jkelee. I did not mean to offend you. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE your Vanda pictures. Everytime I see something new, it will go to my 'wish' list. I don't have anything in bloom right now.:_(

I just googled to check the distance.

I was underestimating. The distance is "287 mi – about 4 hours 54 mins by car." :shock: :shock: :shock:

And yes, she is a long way away from Homestead.
That's why I mentioned to call her, or email her, and ask about the Chids you want, and she mail them to you.
Unless, you're planning a trip in the Central FL region too, as there are plenty of Chid GH's, all the way up north that you'd be driving, to get to Smiley's, & the Central FL area ;)

I'll go in the greenhouse and looking for that plant. Last time, I've looked I only found one. I love the sweet scent of orchids. So most of my flovorite ones always smell good and these are some of the names and prices.

I went to Smiley's Nursery with Jackie a few months back and purchased two of the ones listed above. I bought:
V. Mimi Palmer x V. Gold Spot (it smells very sweet and kind of flowery, maybe like a type of rose)
V. merilli x V. Gordon Dillion "lea" which really does smell like rootbeer.

They are also both very beautiful. I am hopeful they will bloom twice per year. Good luck!

Your vanda is beautiful. I really like the waxy texture, they seem to last longer. My vandas aren't doing a whole lot right now, but are growing roots and getting taller!

Hey Jenn! My Vanda's are spiking every where!!
I swear, every week I find one more with an emerging spike!! And most of them I've never seen a spike on them before!! Soooo exciting!! So many cool ones!! They'll be opening in the next couple of weeks!!
