Here is a specimen plant owned by Glen Decker of Piping Rock Orchids. He has had the plant about 25 years.
For the past 15 years or so, it has grown on top of an empty clay pot turned upside down! It is available, if you are willing to pay his price. |
Wow! That must be magnificent when it is in bloom!
|
WOW! Fantabulous!

I was thinking the same thing about the bloom/ I sure would like to see that.
|
Stunning :-) What's the price, just checking :-)
|
I believe I've seen that one live and in person - at the 2013 SEPOS show.
There's a small photo of it at that show online, displayed in a custom pot. 2013 SEPOS Show Scroll down to the pic of a pot with 2 Paphs painted on it. |
And i will ask this question here also: how is it planted? What media, type pot, method?

According to Fairorchids, this plant is growing on top of an inverted pot. Which proves Neofinetia don't really need to have all the planting media of any kind to grow into a specimen like this plant. |
MattWoelfsen i guess I just need to grab an idea and go with it. Clay pot with bark just seems my speed. Thanks!
