Dendrobium Noid took a tumble

Recent markdown purchase of a dendrobium noid took a header off the deck railing during a recent storm. Largest center cane broke off at the root mass with only a minimum of roots left and was re-potted in smaller ceramic pot. To add insult to the already injured dend. I left it too far out on the railing and sunburned all of the larger leaves. This was two weeks ago and it now sits forlorn in the shadiest corner of the deck hidden by other house plants with only two small yellowing leaves left. Where the previous spike was cut off, it seems to be swelling and has split the top leaf down the center. This is the old spike and seems to be trying to break free. I don't know what the result is going to be, but the poor thing is sure trying to do something. Picture to follow when the sky clears.

Upon review, this should probably be moved to another forum area. Forum monitors please help as i can't seem to be able to do it. FYI, this dend was put into a mix of fine and medium bark.

I don't think there is anything to do, but wait. :(
