I recently purchased a mature Coelogyne Mayeriana. I repotted it on arrival, but I had a question about the thick white, curtain-like roots that grow out.

Should I have potted it such that those roots are more in the potting medium or are they ok exposed like they are? Also, should they be regularly misted?

They're OK like that. Coelogynes tend to sprawl so they wind up like this. In higher humidity they stay healthy.
